Applicant Tracking System

What is Applicant Tracking System (ATS)?

Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is used to perform the onboarding process from start to end. It consists of multiple steps, for instance, posting job vacancies to different job boards and portals, saving the data of job candidates, and screening applications to get the right match for the job position. Moreover, it helps the recruitment team of the organization to collaborate and communicate with each other by providing a platform to score and comment on the job candidates.

Many ATS systems can automatically sift via applications to decide which applicants can proceed towards the next stage of the recruitment process.

Primarily, ATS uses filters such as specific keywords and set parameters, for instance, level of experience, skills of the candidate, and other requirements that the company needs to select the candidate. Few candidate monitoring systems are now screening applications using more sophisticated approaches such as artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Automated reminders help job candidates and recruiters to be connected via ATS.
